  1. 2 cups milk
  2. 2 teaspoons turmeric powder from your kitchen or make fresh by peeling and chopp 1-inch knob of fresh turmeric
  3. Peel and chopped 1/2 inch knob of fresh ginger
  4. 2 teaspoons cow ghee (One can use homemade ghee made from butter)
  5. 1 tablespoon honey


  • Mix together the turmeric, ginger and ghee; blend until you have a fine paste
  • Pour the milk with this paste into a saucepan 
  • Heat the milk till little bubbles will begin to appear on the sides of the saucepan
  • Turn off the heat and cover the saucepan
  • Allow turmeric and ginger to steep about 3 minutes
  • Now remove turmeric and ginger paste from milk by use of strainer
  • Stir honey in strain turmeric milk and continue stirring until it dissolves
  • Drink warm
